High Silica Sewing Thread coated with PTFE
High Silica Sewing Thread coated with PTFE is made of multi-ply 96% SiO2 silica fiber yarn treated with PTFE after high twist compound. High silica sewing thread with PTFE features high tensile strength and high abrasion resistance, good sewing property and high temperature resistance.
Silica based materials provide burn-through protection from molten metal and weld splatter.
Used at 2012°F / 1100°C continuously, used at 2552°F / 1400°C instantly, molts above 3000°F / 1650℃.
Product Applications
-- Used to sew filter bags by hand sewing
-- Used to sew weak alkali-resistant weave.
-- Fulfills the need of sewing filter bags used in carbon black/ metallurgy/ cement industries .
--Sews safety clothing, gloves, welding and fire blankets, etc.

Note: 1. As this silica sewing thread is leached silica(leached silica have less tensile strength), when it’s used in industrial high speed sewing machine require a transmission to limit the velocity less than 30 punches per minute to avoid to break the thread.
